Prof. Dr. Olk provided insights into the history and various collection areas of the Shakespeare Library. In addition to the library's holdings, the guests had the opportunity to view selected archival material in a temporary exhibition curated by the team of Prof. Dr. Olk. Our guests were particularly interested in the library’s collection of rare books and the different research areas which the library’s holdings address: William Shakespeare and his age, English drama from the beginnings to 1642, poetry and prose of the Early Modern period, history and politics, theology, law and the arts, as well as scholarship on theatre history. The library is extremely grateful for the continued support of the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung.
